- Born on 1809 at Swamithop,Nagarcoil

- He was initially named MudisoodumPerumal, meaning "Lord with a crown".
- But the caste Hindus complained to authorities about the naming who forced the parents to change his name to Muthukutty.

- His exhortation “One Caste, One Religion, One Clan, One World, One God”.
- Ayya was imprisoned by The King of Travancore(SwathiThirunal) in 1839.
- On 3 June 1851 Vaikundar died.
- One of the disciples of Ayya, HariGopalanCitar, wrote the holy book, called Akilam.
